'We celebrated our 150th Anniversary in 2008'

We had a big birthday to celebrate this year, we were 150 years old! What a celebration we had with everyone in Victorian costume, not just the children but staff too, we had a Victorian Garden Party and we opened our doors to everyone. We had a procession; the children sang favourite old time songs, followed by a service in the church, we unveiled a plaque and enjoyed some traditional Victorian picnic food. The children spent the rest of the day learning as they would've done 150 years ago. Our guests were able to wander around, to reflect and enjoy the school, the children and the wonderful occasion that it was. Mrs Quinn had worked tirelessly to compile a memory book with as much information from Woodcocks' past as she could find. This was on show for everyone's viewing and will remain a real keepsake, a part of our history.
